The Farm Box

At Philo Ridge Farm, we have a certified organic vegetable, flower, herb and fruit growing area. We have over two acres in production growing everything from arugula to zucchini, all of which goes into our Market and kitchen.

In addition to our produce, we manage over three hundred acres of hay and rotationally grazed pastures on which we raise Belted Galloway cattle, Berkshire, Tamworth, and Saddleback pigs, Cornish cross and Royal Gray broiler chickens, hens for pastured eggs, bronze breasted turkeys, and a mixed breed of Romney and Border Leicester sheep.

We practice whole animal butchery here on the farm, which means we strive to use every part of the animal. This eliminates waste and honors the energy that went into raising, caring for, slaughtering, and processing our livestock. The cuts we have available change from week to week and season to season; we love to educate our customers about delicious, lesser-known cuts of meat and the best ways to cook those cuts.

The Farm Box is a way for us to share distinct moments of the season as it unfolds. With partnership from our butcher, kitchen, and garden teams, we provide a rotating selection of veggies, meat, house-made sauces, and other creations representing a small part of all the work that is happening throughout the farm.

Recipes and ideas for how to best prepare and share what’s in the box will also be provided. Boxes are available every other week and selections change each time. We are also offering add-ons to the box to expand your offerings.

Upcoming box pick-up days are June 11, June 25, and July 9.

Pick-ups days will continue every other Saturday throughout the summer and into the fall.
