Philo Ridge Farm was established by owners Diana McCargo and Peter Swift in 2012 in an effort to preserve the historic Foote Farm and continue the agricultural legacy of the property.
Today, we are an innovative, diversified farm using ecologically-minded practices to produce pork, chicken, lamb, beef, wool products, certified organic hay, garlic, vegetables, fruits, and trials of small grains and flowers.
The farm is lead by Food & Farm Director Francine Stephens and Farm Manager Ed Pitcavage and has a growing, diverse and devoted team made up of Vera Simon-Nobes, Megan Bookless, Jane Engelman and our devoted seasonal farm crew.
Our amazing 2017 summer crew includes Peter Capaldi- Landscape and Livestock Apprentice, Lydia Smith- Assistant Livestock Manager, Sophie Shillue- Market Garden Crew member, and Devin Green- Market Garden Crew member.
